The original building at 801 West High Street in Mount Vernon, OH.

Trinity Assembly of God was planted in the west end of Mount Vernon in the 1940’s. Through the sacrifice and commitment of its members, they purchased property and built the first sanctuary at 801 West High Street where it remained until the purchase of the present property in the early 1980’s. Again, its members sacrificed, often selling personal jewelry and using other creative methods to be able to buy eleven acres and erect a building on what has become prime real estate in a rapidly developing section of the city. Under a succession of dedicated men and women of God who served as pastors over the years, Trinity Assembly of God has remained a vibrant, Spirit-filled work in progress in this community.

Major renovation in the summer of 2006 finished the current sanctuary with carpeting, comfortable seating, and a state-of-the-art audio/visual system and remodeled the Christian education wing.

The church building is undergoing renewal and so are the people! There is an excitement in the air as we anticipate the next step as we continue to transform into “a people passionate for the presence of God”!
